The fart-filtering 'banana' you pop in your pants on plane trips to defuse embarrassing smells

The latest Shreddies insert is designed to be worn between the buttocks to soak up noxious odours

Shreddies were designed to give people confidence

The company behind the fart-filtering underpant has come up with a banana-shaped insert that lets you trump on a plane without causing a stink.

The team at Shreddies has designed a foam wedge called the Carbonana that you stick in the back of your pants to filter out flatulence smells.

It contains a carbon lining that captures odours giving wearers the confidence to travel - even if they suffer from wind problems.

The new product was the idea of entrepreneur Paul O’Leary, inventor of the fart-filtering Shreddies underpant and spin-off pyjamas and jeans, and the flatulence cushion.

Paul came up with the Leicestershire-made fart pant to help with his own tummy issues, and hundreds of thousands have now been sold.

The business also supplies incontinence pants.

Carbonana stops any clear and present danger in the air

Paul, who has his own designer kitchen company with a new branch in New York, has always been proud of the small part he has had in making people’s lives easier with his flatulence filtration products.

He felt that air travellers should be able to be up in the clouds without assaulting the noses of fellow passengers.
