A family-run mattress and bed manufacturer is creating 50 jobs at its East Midlands base.

Hypnos Beds is working with Frontline Recruitment to fill the positions at its Castle Donington headquarters.

The business, which is run by the fourth and fifth generation of the Keen family, has been making luxury pocket spring mattresses and beds by hand since Edwardian times.

It has been named the National Bed Federation's bed manufacturer of the year three times in the last decade and gained Queen’s Awards for industry in 2017 and 2020.

Back in September Hypnos announced it had partnered with John Lewis to create two new mattress ranges which champion the use of British wool.

Hypnos has been working with Frontline Recruitment for more than 12 years and is looking for skilled and unskilled operatives, van drivers as well as general operatives to help with loading at the distribution Centre.

The starting pay rate is £10.50, increasing to £15 per hour and recruits are offered a £500 joining fee, paid after 12 weeks.

A spokesperson from Hypnos Beds said: "This is an exciting time for Hypnos Beds, working in partnership with the team at Frontline Recruitment we are now looking to recruit up to 50 new operatives to work within our state-of-the-art Castle Donington facility.
