Face visors manufactured by a Derbyshire robotics company which were designed in partnership with a hospital have received rave reviews from staff.
Millitec Food Systems, based at Draycott, has been helping with the national effort to manufacture equipment and much-needed PPE for NHS workers on the coronavirus frontline.
As well as making ventilators to treat Covid-19 patients, the firm has also been making face visors.
It came up with a design for the products by working in conjunction with staff at Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital.
The firm recently delivered the first batch to the hospital and has since received positive feedback.
Ward Sister at Glenfield, Lisa Fereday said: “The doctors and nurses think they are awesome!
“A lot we have haven't got the foam so are not fit for purpose - these are the best we've seen.
“True brilliance - thanks for the attention to detail and following the brief.”

In a statement, Millitec said: “We were incredibly proud to work with the team at Glenfield Hospital to develop a visor suitable for their needs on the wards.”
The public are now being given the opportunity to help the hospital, hospice, care home or other health care provider of their choice by buying the visors through Millitec’s sister website protexion.co.uk.
And Draycott resident Kelly Davis has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise cash to buy the visors for staff in Nottingham and Derby.
Writing on her GoFundMe page, she said: “Last night I learned one of my lovely nurse friends is sometimes having to work without proper PPE on a Covid ward in Nottingham. The Government just cant get supplies out fast enough.
“I really want to use this pot to raise money for visors for her ward and then going forward money for visors for who ever needs them in and around the Erewash area, including the hospitals in Derby and Nottingham. This includes care workers, pharmacists etc. If there is a need then let's try and help these people.

“I will be purchasing from Millitec in Draycott. This company has already donated lots of visors to hospitals.
“Five visors are £32. I'd like to start by raising money for 20 visors for the ward my friend works on and then go from there.
“Whatever you can spare would be massively appreciated for these heroes.”
