A European company which prints labelling for drink cans is creating 40 jobs in the West Midlands by launching a new base in the region.

NOMOQ, which has operations in Switzerland and Germany, announced earlier this year that it was eyeing the region for a new operation and has now confirmed it is opening in Leamington Spa.

Recruitment has already started for its first-ever º£½ÇÊÓƵ facility which will produce decorated cans in small batch sizes for the º£½ÇÊÓƵ beverage market.

NOMOQ, which stands for 'no minimum order quantity', uses technology which adds a brand's design to an aluminium can without using labels and plastic sleeves, meaning they are fully recyclable.

Andrew Bannister has been appointed as general manager and will lead the º£½ÇÊÓƵ operations, supported by Dave Rigby as regional account manager.

Mr Bannister has 34 years of experience in the printing industry in fields such as security printing, stamps and currency, joining from Cartor Security Printers in Wolverhampton where he was production director.

Mr Rigby previously ran his own gin distillery in Manchester.
