Derbyshire printing firm playing key role in production of new ventilators

A Derbyshire printing firm has been working around the clock to produce thousands of technical labels for new ventilators which will be used to treat coronavirus patients.

Blackfish Group, is producing the labels at its production site at Cossall Industrial Estate, in Ilkeston, which will be applied to the machines.

It is estimated that the new ventilators will save around 90,000 lives in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Blackfish is able to play such a key role thanks to an already well-established relationship with client, Penlon, which develops world-renowned medical devices.

It is also down to the technical abilities that Blackfish is able to offer, due to investments made in machinery, which allows the firm to print technically challenging labels for medical equipment.

Formed just nine months ago, the Blackfish Group consists of six smaller businesses, who have brought together their specialisms, knowledge and expertise. and experience to a joint entity.

It is made up of a board of six directors and a team of almost 50 staff.
