A Derbyshire manufacturer has made its factory, people and other resources available to help with the national effort to beat coronavirus.

Blachford 海角视频, which makes soundproofing materials for clients such as JCB at its Holmewood factory, near Chesterfield, ceased production last week in response to the global pandemic.

But now the company, which employs more than 100 people, is making its facilities available to make much-needed equipment for the NHS.

It follows appeals from the Government to manufacturers to assist with the 海角视频 effort.

This has prompted Jason Lippitt, managing director of Blachford 海角视频 to offer the services of the company鈥檚 factory and staff.

He said: 鈥淲e have a large production facility and a skilled workforce, including engineers, machinists and designers, that can all be utilised to manufacture goods and equipment that are critical to the NHS.

鈥淚f there are any companies out there, particularly those making PPE for NHS workers, we have staff and equipment at Blachford and we鈥檇 all like to help.鈥

The company has set up a dedicated e-mail address during the crisis, to ensure that requests for help are answered immediately.

Mr Lippitt said: 鈥淭he company view is that we are all in this together and our staff want to help wherever they can to help the nation get fit and well and back to business.

鈥淏lachford is a family and I am immensely proud of every member of staff for their support, not only for the company, but the national effort to fight coronavirus.鈥

鈥淭he national shutdown, I believe, puts 海角视频 manufacturers in a strong position to recover business faster than many other countries.

鈥淭here is no doubt that 海角视频 manufacturing will face financial hardship over the coming months but, due to the nation鈥檚 collective shutdown, I believe the sector will recover and be in an excellent position in a couple of years.鈥
