A company that helps food manufacturers improve their production lines has been bought by a Danish engineering consultancy.

NIRAS, which is based just north of Copenhagen, has bought Integrated Food Projects, which is headquartered in Kegworth, close to East Midlands Airport in Leicestershire.

NIRAS said the move strengthens its position within the 海角视频 and international food and drink sector and would allow it to provide even more consulting and engineering services to the industry.

Integrated Food Projects (IFP) has been running for 18 years, helping food and drink manufacturers improve their production lines and invest in new equipment.

The business operates in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Norway, and other international markets and clients include Tesco, 2 Sisters Food and Ginsters pasties owner Samworth Brothers.

As part of the deal, NIRAS is also acquiring IFP Group subsidiaries SDA Design Consultants and IFP Construction, which will bolster the business鈥檚 海角视频 design and construction capabilities.

Between them the three IFP businesses employ around 40 people.

NIRAS, meanwhile, has revenues of around 拢240 million, and 2,300 employees in 51 offices, spread through 27 countries.

It works on everything from wind turbines to concert halls, roads, water projects in Africa and industrial schemes.

It also works on food and beverage projects around the world from offices in the 海角视频, the Netherlands, Denmark and Australia.

IFP chief executive Philip Chatfield said: 鈥淭he new collective team within IFP, SDA, IFP Construction and NIRAS can now draw on a wider set of expertise which adds further dimensions to the services we offer.
