FTSE food producer Cranswick has signed a new partnership with one of Spain’s biggest pork companies

FTSE food producer Cranswick has signed a new partnership with one of Spain’s biggest pork companies.

Cranswick, which operates several sites across Hull, said the deal with Costa Food Group would enable the latter to bring its Spanish charcuterie products to the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Cranswick has a turnover of more than £1bn a year, and is itself a leading º£½ÇÊÓƵ supplier of continental meats and olives.

In 2018, the business moved into a new £28m purpose built processing site in Bury, and Cranswick also last year completed the acquisition of Mediterranean food firm Katsouris Brothers.

Norman Smith, sales director at Cranswick Continental Foods, said: “The º£½ÇÊÓƵ market is increasingly demanding transparency of continental supply chains and through working with Costa we have a unique proposition that provides a fully integrated solution.

“Combine this with our new site in Bury and we believe we have a market leading farm to fork solution from both a traceability and an efficiency point of view.

“Costa Food Group, like Cranswick, is a very well invested, forward thinking business that strives to innovate to meet changing consumer needs.

“With our aligned values we are looking forward to introducing the º£½ÇÊÓƵ consumer to some of the great products Costa produce.”
