FTSE food producer Cranswick has signed a new partnership with one of Spain鈥檚 biggest pork companies.

Cranswick, which operates several sites across Hull, said the deal with Costa Food Group would enable the latter to bring its Spanish charcuterie products to the 海角视频.

Cranswick has a turnover of more than 拢1bn a year, and is itself a leading 海角视频 supplier of continental meats and olives.

In 2018, the business moved into a new 拢28m purpose built processing site in Bury, and Cranswick also last year completed the acquisition of Mediterranean food firm Katsouris Brothers.

Costa Food Group is one of the leading pork producers in Spain.

The Costa business began trading grain in 1966 and has grown into a fully vertically integrated pork producer with more than 600 farms and four feed factories, and a turnover that will exceed 鈧900m this year.聽

In 2017, Costa Food Group acquired Casademont, a fourth generation family-run Spanish charcuterie producer,聽and more recently bought Villar and La Nuncia.

These acquisitions will enable Costa to produce authentic Spanish charcuterie with a fully integrated supply chain bringing benefits of both traceability and quality control.

In order to target this market, Costa has established an exclusive partnership with Cranswick Continental Foods to bring its product range to the 海角视频.聽

Cranswick Continental Foods is a leading supplier of continental meats in the 海角视频, and in 2018 moved to a new, 拢28m purpose built processing site.
