Construction labour supplier Hercules Site Services secures deal worth more than £3m

The Gloucestershire-based firm has a blue-chip customer base, which includes Balfour Beatty, Costain, Kier, Skanska, Dyer & Butler and Volker Fitzpatrick

Construction firm Hercules Site Services has announced that it has secured contracts with a value of over £3.1m.

Since May 1 2023 the Gloucestershire-based company the company has been awarded the contracts to deliver "critical" work for two "major clients" relating to nine wastewater treatment and water management projects.

The AIM-listed business, which has its head office in South Cerny near Cirencester, said its Civils Projects division has particular expertise in executing projects in this sector and experienced a busy summer as º£½ÇÊÓÆµ water companies faced pressure to increase the country's water resilience.

In Hercules' interim results, revenue for the division in the first half of the year increased by 30% to £6.7m.

Bosses said the division provides "substantial opportunity" for the company to cross-sell its labour supply and suction excavator services to blue chip clients.

In Wednesday's (September 20) update the Cirencester firm detailed a £2.28m contract from Thames Water across six sites, the largest being at Ufton Nervet WTW in West Berkshire.

Anglian Water awarded the firm £895,000 across three sites, the largest contract being at Towcester in Northamptonshire.
