Construction group Colmore Tang has bought out Black Country outfit Stainless Handrail Systems.

The Aldridge-based company boasts more than 25 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing handrails, balustrading and glass products.

Birmingham-based Colmore Tang said it would look to double turnover for its new acquisition over the next two to three years through a further push into the business-to-business market.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Colmore Tang's existing relationship with the manufacturer has seen it install the firm's products on two of its recently completed residential projects in Birmingham - Fabrick Square in Digbeth and Ridley House next to the Mailbox.

Mark Busby, a former director of Stainless Handrail Systems is assisting with the handover.

Andy Robinson, group chief executive of Colmore Tang, said: "We recognised this as a superb opportunity to acquire a successful business that easily integrates into our supply chain.

"Stainless Handrail Systems has grown quickly over the last few years under the excellent guidance of its founders and this gives us a strong platform to take the business forward and grow both the product range and customer base significantly.
