Leanne Cahill, chief executive of Bravissimo

A West Midlands underwear firm is battling against the covid pandemic by scaling its online operations after securing new funding.

Bravissimo, which headquartered in Leamington Spa and has 23 stores across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, has used the undisclosed capital from NatWest to support investment in its warehouse operations and customer services teams.

The manufacturer and retailer has also invested in its stock and branched out into comfort and sportswear items which it said was as a result of customer needs changing due to more time being spent at home.

Bravissimo, which was launched in 1995 to provide a greater range of lingerie for women with bigger cup sizes, has also used the funding to ensure its teams are fully equipped to work remotely.

Leanne Cahill, who was promoted to chief executive in December, said: "After the safety of our teams, our main priority since the beginning of the pandemic has been the long-term operation of the business and this has meant that we have had to adapt how we do things.

"As we moved more online, we quickly responded to increase our capacity. We wanted to make sure we had the right level of support in our customer service teams.

"We are now in a very strong position to grow the business over the coming years despite the huge challenges that have faced our industry over the last 12 months."
