Bisley becomes sole office furniture supplier for BT in multi-million pound deal

The Newport-based manufacturer will provide staff lockers, storage, media units and furniture to BT's º£½ÇÊÓƵ hubs

Bisley has already started work on BT’s new Cardiff site at the Capital Quarter office building

Office furniture designer and manufacturer Bisley has secured a major contract which will see it supply its products to BT Group’s offices in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ. The Newport-based company has made a deal to become the sole supplier of the telecoms giant’s storage furniture requirements.

They will provide staff lockers, storage and collaborative furniture, media units and other key interior elements to the telecoms giant’s refurbished º£½ÇÊÓƵ hubs, including London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Bristol. Bisley’s completed projects, projects currently in progress, and future projects with BT are worth £5.6m.

The contract is part of BT’s multi-million-pound four-year framework to deliver its Better Workplace programme, a property infrastructure project to deliver refurbished workspaces at its hubs across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ. Bisley has already started work on BT’s new Cardiff site, occupying 65,000 sq ft of grade A office space at the 3 Capital Quarter office building in the centre of the city which will become a hub for up to 900 staff.

The manufacturer will also start work on BT’s multi-million-pound hub at Manchester’s Four New Bailey, which is currently under construction and will provide a base for up to 2,000 employees. It follows news that Bisley will be designing bespoke work spaces at the Googleplex headquarters in California.

The firm has also completed a project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at the private bank’s headquarters in Canary Wharf. Bisley installed its LockerWall products for employee storage at the headquarters.

It is the latest in several projects that Bisley has recently completed for major global banks. It is the second bank on London’s Bank Street that Bisley has worked with in the last 12 months.

Graeme Matthews, º£½ÇÊÓƵ sales director at Bisley, said: “Working with such globally renowned companies at flagship º£½ÇÊÓƵ locations showcases Bisley’s design and manufacturing capabilities at their very best.
