Office furniture designer and manufacturer Bisley has secured a major contract which will see it supply its products to BT Group鈥檚 offices in the 海角视频. The Newport-based company has made a deal to become the sole supplier of the telecoms giant鈥檚 storage furniture requirements.
They will provide staff lockers, storage and collaborative furniture, media units and other key interior elements to the telecoms giant鈥檚 refurbished 海角视频 hubs, including London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Bristol. Bisley鈥檚 completed projects, projects currently in progress, and future projects with BT are worth 拢5.6m.
The contract is part of BT鈥檚 multi-million-pound four-year framework to deliver its Better Workplace programme, a property infrastructure project to deliver refurbished workspaces at its hubs across the 海角视频. Bisley has already started work on BT鈥檚 new Cardiff site, occupying 65,000 sq ft of grade A office space at the 3 Capital Quarter office building in the centre of the city which will become a hub for up to 900 staff.

The manufacturer will also start work on BT鈥檚 multi-million-pound hub at Manchester鈥檚 Four New Bailey, which is currently under construction and will provide a base for up to 2,000 employees. It follows news that Bisley will be designing bespoke work spaces at the Googleplex headquarters in California.
The firm has also completed a project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at the private bank鈥檚 headquarters in Canary Wharf. Bisley installed its LockerWall products for employee storage at the headquarters.
It is the latest in several projects that Bisley has recently completed for major global banks. It is the second bank on London鈥檚 Bank Street that Bisley has worked with in the last 12 months.
Graeme Matthews, 海角视频 sales director at Bisley, said: 鈥淲orking with such globally renowned companies at flagship 海角视频 locations showcases Bisley鈥檚 design and manufacturing capabilities at their very best.
鈥淭hese organisations had exciting briefs for us to work with and we have flexed our creative and technical expertise to ensure that the results not only deliver on a practical level for our clients, but also aesthetically meet the needs of the modern workplace 鈥 from smart offices, to workspaces that put employee wellbeing at the heart of business operations.鈥
In November last year, the firm gifted its employees over half of shares in the company as part of succession planning. Anthony Brown, the late company owner and chairman of Bisley who passed away in April, created an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) allowing 51% of company shares to be indirectly owned by Bisley鈥檚 500 employees.
Since the EOT was formed, Bisley says it has been able to pay all EOT beneficiaries a sum of money both in 2022 and will do so again at the end of 2023. On its trading outlook, the company says it is continuing to strengthen and diversify its furniture offering, making in-roads into the Home market both in the 海角视频 and internationally. It is also targeting new sectors such as hospitality.
