Profits soared as double-digit sales growth was enjoyed by an East Yorkshire modular building specialist, latest figures have revealed.

Integra Buildings Ltd’s filed accounts for 2019 showed turnover leap from £25.4 million to a shade under £28 million, with pre-tax profits rising from £570,000 to almost £1.5 million.

Based in Paull, on the outskirts of Hull, the company is one of several in the region at the forefront of the rapidly expanding sector.

It was a strong start to life in a stunning self-built headquarters, a £3 million investment completed in late 2018.

And bosses are confident they have weathered the coronavirus pandemic, trading at a “satisfactory level” throughout.

Managing director Gary Parker said: “We’re delighted with the company’s strong financial performance over the course of the year, which reflects our continued growth and development.

“This has been achieved by maintaining the highest levels of quality and focusing on exceeding our clients’ expectations.

“In response to the Covid-19 pandemic we put in place measures to mitigate the risks to staff and the business, which enabled us to continue production and deliver projects successfully throughout the crisis, delivering key projects including for the NHS.
