South Yorkshire-based MTL Advanced is to supply armoured steel for a key 海角视频 defence programme.
The multi-million pound multi-year contract has been awarded to the Rotherham firm jointly by Stockport-based WFEL and parent company KMW.
The armoured material will be used in the Boxer Armoured Vehicle's hull assembly, which will be fabricated at WFEL’s specialist manufacturing centre of excellence in Stockport.

MTL Advanced has invested more than £2 million in new capital equipment to help support the project and meet increased demand. It has contributed to creation of 30 new jobs, with 12 apprentices joining the ranks back in September.

This is the latest sub-contract to be awarded by WFEL, a key partner in the manufacture of the Boxer Armoured Vehicles for the British Army, under the $2.3 billion contract signed in November 2019 between ARTEC and the 海角视频 MoD.
Opportunities will be outlined at a Kickstart event at Rotherham United Community Sports Trust on Wednesday, at New York Stadium, while the firm plans to host an open evening as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 on February 10.
