Airbus has announced plans to take on 6,000 extra staff over 2022 with sites at Broughton and Filton expected to benefit.
The aerospace giant was forced to cut the workforce when the pandemic hit as production levels were slashed.
Broughton saw its staff numbers fall from around 6,000 to just over 4,000.
But the company surpassed its 600 plane delivery target in 2021 and is now looking to increase production again.
It means around 6,000 new hires globally and with production increasing should mean more workers needed at the wing plant at Broughton.
They have not yet confirmed a breakdown of where the roles will be created - with more detail expected next month.
Airbus had been due to increase apprentice, intern and graduates numbers by 400 vacancies across Broughton and Filton by September this year. It is not known if these newly announced job increases will now be in addition to those.
A spokesperson said: “Airbus has announced a recruitment plan for 2022 of around 6,000 new hires worldwide across the entire group.

"We do not confirm the split between countries nor divisions, this will likely be communicated during a second wave of communication after the Annual Press Conference.
"The main message is that we are hiring, we have talent to recruit and new profiles to find in order to meet our decarbonisation roadmap and planned ramp-up.”
