A Birmingham manufacturer of vitamin sweets has secured £9 million in new funding.

The capital will primarily be used to expand Digbeth-based Rem3dy Health’s manufacturing footprint, boost capacity and support its work in regions such as the US and Asia.

Rem3dy Health makes 'Nourished', a range of 3D-printed vegan gummy 'stacks' containing seven different vitamins which are bespoke to each individual customer's needs.

This fresh round of funding includes £500,000 from West Midlands Co-Investment Fund alongside investment from existing and new backers including Asian health group Suntory and French pharmaceutical chain UPSA.

To date, Rem3dy Health has secured a total investment of £19 million, which has funded the construction of three factories, driven international growth and facilitated expansion.

The company was founded in Birmingham in 2019 by US entrepreneur Melissa Snover who was inspired to create the singular gummy stacks after dropping a bag of vitamins onto the floor in Düsseldorf Airport.

She said: "Securing this investment is a significant milestone for Rem3dy Health.
