EFS Global buys Scottish firm Courier Connections in move described as 'springboard for future growth'

It's the latest in a long list of acquisitions for the firm

One of the North West's largest distribution and haulage firms has acquired a Scottish business with depots in Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

EFS Global has bought Courier Connections for an undisclosed figure, with the Burnley-based firm having called the deal a "springboard for future growth" as it continues expanding across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.

EFS now has 17 depots and offices across the country and operates its own º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and European road freight fleet, as well as a range of worldwide import and export services.

Law firm Davis Blank Furniss acted for Burnley-based EFS Global Ltd.

Mark Jones, MD of EFS Global, said: “The acquisition of a Scotland-based entity is an exciting development for the business and will, I’m sure, be a springboard for future growth as we continue our expansion strategy across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.”

The deal follows a long list of acquisitions made by EFS in recent years including Euro SDB, CS Brunt, Bradtrans International, Horizon Distribution and Euro-Tran Despatch.
