A Wiltshire-based public safety firm has been acquired by Japanese giant NEC Software Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
NEC said the purchase of SSS Public Safety, formerly Capita SSS, would strengthen its portfolio of technology and support services used by the police and other emergency services.
SSS, which is based in Chippenham, delivers software solutions to support operational transformation and improve the service delivered to the public through agencies including the police, fire, ambulance, and other public safety agencies, such as highways and coastguard across 15 countries and five continents.
NEC provides software and services to Ƶ police forces and law enforcement organisations globally.
