A top design company in North Wales has launched its own initiative to help firms drive growth.

Design Reality, based in St Asaph, already works as an Innovation Coach for the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme which supports ambitious start-ups and SMEs in Wales.

But now they have unveiled their own Grow with Design service that can be tailored to offer bespoke packages for businesses aimed at increasing revenues and future growth.

Wyn Jones at Design Reality says, “Design is the differentiator for many businesses who are looking for success in competitive markets, here and overseas.

“Investing in design and innovation, with the support of a team of experts who, can not only make sense of the market, but cut through the jargon and support you with your ideas when you need it most, is crucial if businesses are to grow and succeed.

“We’re very proud to be able to extend out services to Welsh businesses looking for design expertise as part of the Accelerated Growth Programme, as well as SMEs across the rest of the Ƶ.”

Their packages include support for innovation, new product development and project management.

Design Reality has worked with many SMEs and start-ups over the years helping them develop an initial idea and bring it to market.

One recent success is with LIMB-art, where they worked with former Paralympic swimmer and medallist, Mark Williams, to design and produce a range of beautiful prosthetic leg covers.

Mr Williams said: “We’ve worked with Design Reality from the very beginning when the idea behind LIMB-Art was in its infancy and we needed solid business advice on product design and a strategy to bring our product to market.

“The team at Design Reality were a pleasure to work with and understood the pressures of a start-up business.

“They guided us through every stage of the design process and not only helped design the end product, but provided valuable business advice.

“With them, we have been able to grow into the successful small business we are today.

“Their new ‘Grow with Design’ initiative is something all ambitious start-ups should take advantage of and it can only help fellow Welsh businesses to thrive as we have done.”

Wyn Jones added: “Design should be at the heart of every business. Especially if businesses are looking at the export market.

“For every £1 invested in design, businesses can expect a return of over £5 in increased exports.”
