Organisers say around 7,000 people and more than 1,000 businesses are expected to be involved this year

Businesses are being encouraged to come up with interesting ideas for the eighth annual Leicester Business Festival this autumn.

The 2022 festival is set to take place between November 7 and 18 at businesses and venues across the city and county.

Last year’s festival included 90 events looking at everything from sports entrepreneurship to future proofing Leicester’s fashion industry and sustainable business travel.

Applications to run events open on Monday, May 9 at www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com, and entries will close on September 9.

Organisers say around 7,000 people and more than 1,000 businesses are expected to be involved this year both online and in person, celebrating the strength and innovation of businesses in the region.

Richard Osborn, regional director at Excello Law, is the chairman and a director of the LBF Community Interest Company, which runs the festival.

He said: “Year after year, LBF showcases exactly why doing business in our region is something to be part of and be proud of.

“We are a city and a county with powerful examples of resilience and responsiveness. Your business – whatever the size or speciality – can get involved.
