A sustainable energy consultancy has secured new investment to help it boost its team in the West Midlands.

Warwick-based Utility Stream provides companies with sustainable energy products which strive to save them money and reduce their carbon footprint.

The new funding will enable the firm to create a number of roles for business consultants and account managers, both in the region and nationally.

The company was founded in 2018 by Naveed Qayyum and Mark Edwards who have more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector.

Undisclosed funding was provided from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund's equity finance stream, managed by Birmingham-based venture capital firm Midven.

Mr Edwards said: "Primarily, the investment will enable us to continue to develop our business across a range of markets and sectors.

"We're particularly looking forward to combining its experience in business growth with our considerable energy market expertise to create a strong brand presence."
