A user experience design and development agency in Macclesfield, which has worked with the likes of AstraZeneca, Royal London and the NHS, has won a new £2.5m contract with the Department for Education.

Nexer Digital will provide user research capabilities and support the delivery of education and social care services.

The appointment will see the company working with the DfE to deliver "digital outcomes in building and delivering user-centred services in line with the government service standard". The contract will run for two years.

Shaun Gomm, commercial director at Nexer Digital, said: "Being awarded this contract is a great opportunity for us to continue to develop our working relationship with the Department for Education.

"Working collaboratively with the department over the next two years will not only benefit the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s teachers, parents and learners but also equip the team at the DfE with the capability to help support the department’s continued digital transformation."

Nexer Digital has been working with the DfE to provide user experience and design services since early 2020, supporting a range of high-profile projects, including rapid Covid-response work, to deliver user-centred services in education and social care settings.

As well as the company's headquarters in Cheshire, it also has a base in Cambridge.
