Europe's leading unmanned aerial systems (UAS) firm, Tekever, has opened a new R&D and test flight facility at West Wales Airport as part of an investment that will create 200 jobs.
The airport, at Aberporth, will test flights for customers including the Home Office, RAF and the Royal Navy. Its UAS are deployed in Ukraine via the MoD. While the new site at Aberporth will serve customers globally, they will focus on projects that have to be delivered entirely in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ due to their sensitive nature. The facilities and airspace will also be used for flight training by Tekever’s º£½ÇÊÓƵ-led operations team, who conduct missions on behalf of customers.
