Businesses based all over the North West have announced a series of senior hires and promotions over the last week.
Companies including the likes of Cowgills, Bond Turner and Gallagher have made major moves as well as organisations such as The University of Liverpool and League Two club Salford City.
Below, we round up the latest hires and promotions from across the North West that we feel you should not miss.

Patch App 海角视频
Lancashire-based home services company Patch App 海角视频 has announced that Joycelyn Neve, the former managing director of Seafood Pub Company, will join the business on August 1 as its chief operating officer.
The tech company secured £200,000 investment last year and will shortly complete another raise, having secured investment from over 50 individuals.
The business was co-founded by Paul White and Conor Walsh.

Azets
Accountancy firm Azets, has appointed Susanna Cassey as regional managing director and promoted Simon Monks and Jack Clitheroe to partner.
In addition, 22 staff have been promoted to support the growth of the region including Alex Greenwood to director and Martin Woodhall to associate director.
All will continue to work as part of Azets' regional office network.
Cowgills
Accountancy and business advisory firm Cowgills has promoted Nilesh Modhvadia to partner in its audit and advisory team.
Mr Modhvadia joined the firm in 2018 as audit director, with previous audit and advisory roles held at RSM and at ASE plc.
He said: "It’s a real privilege to be promoted to partner at Cowgills. When I joined the firm in 2018, I had ambitious plans, and with the help and support of Stuart and the rest of the partners I’m delighted, to now be in this position."
Shawton Energy

Renewable technology provider Shawton Energy has welcomed two new members to its team.
Technical manager Carl Peters and administrator Michelle Young have joined the Newton-le-Willows firm.

Bond Turner
Bond Turner has announced a senior hire to its professional department in Liverpool.
Rob Godfrey has joined as head of professional negligence. The move comes after Helen Neville joined as deputy head of clinical negligence in April.
Mr Godfrey said: "I was attracted to this role within Bond Turner on account of the exceptional quality of work delivered for clients right across England and Wales, not just in professional negligence but across the firm’s expansive list of services."
The University of Liverpool
The University of Liverpool has appointed Sir Peter Rigby to the new role of honorary president, enterprise.
Sir Peter will work closely with the vice chancellor Professor Tim Jones and the university’s senior leadership team.
He said: "This esteemed institution has a rich history of innovation and academic excellence, and I am excited to collaborate with the vice chancellor and the university’s senior leadership team to unleash the vast commercial potential within the university's research."
Johnson Law Group
Consumer litigation law firm Johnson Law Group has appointed associate solicitor Sadaf Khan to its Manchester-based litigation team.
A qualified solicitor with over 14 years’ experience in the legal sector, she comes to Johnson Law Group from FDM Solicitors.

MHA Moore and Smalley
MHA Moore and Smalley has added to its specialist corporate finance expertise with the appointment of a new partner.
Rob Dawes has joined the firm’s Manchester office and will help it build a transaction services team.
The new team will work with private equity firms and mid-market corporates to provide financial due diligence and strategic deal advisory services.
Mr Dawes joins the firm after five years with Grant Thornton where he was a director.
Simpson Millar
Law firm Simpson Millar has welcomed partner and military claims specialist Sinead Cartwright to its national injury practice area.
A former director at Hilary Meredith, Mrs Cartwright said: "As a firm Simpson Millar shares my own values, which centre around delivering the highest quality legal service to clients and securing access to the necessary funds that will allow them to rebuild their lives following injuries.
"I am delighted to be joining Helen and the wider Injury Practice Area, and in particular a team of such strong, very experienced military lawyers."
Dawn
Cheadle Hulme-based creative agency Dawn has appointed a new digital design lead.
Will Tarpey joins the firm with over eight years experience designing websites and digital interfaces, specialising in UI, UX and interaction design.
He said: "I’ve always had a focus on being a design practitioner and working hands on with a variety of client work is ultimately what I enjoy the most.
"Dawn gave me the opportunity to maintain involvement with a range of digital design work whilst broadening my skillset and to learn more about branding and motion."
Gallagher
Insurance broking and risk management firm Gallagher has expanded its Liverpool team, welcoming six new recruits.
Callum Goulding is joining as a business development executive having worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years, most recently specialising in in medical malpractice insurance.
He will be supported by new account broker Jessica Smith, who brings 10 years’ experience gained both locally and internationally.
The appointment of Gill Birchall as account broker will see Gallagher strengthening its marine expertise and expand its client offering.
Three new account brokers have been hired to look after Gallagher’s growing corporate client base in Merseyside which includes businesses of all sizes from SMEs to large corporates.
Helen Hall brings with her 27 years’ experience having delivered insurance services to businesses and high net worth individuals. Martin Rimmer brings over 20 years’ experience and Ben Thomas joins with a background of developing insurance solutions for SMEs as well as product development.
Salford City
Salford City have welcomed Jonathan Jackson as their new director of finance.
Mr Jackson was chief executive at Wigan Athletic for 10 years from 2010 to 2020.
In the three years since, he has been an independent football and business consultant working predominantly with tech start-up companies that have developed software for football clubs and academies.
Wain Estates
Warrington-based Wain Estates has announced three new staff appointments.
Senior project manager Dean Fisher and land manager Luke Hopkins together with land and planning surveyor Amelia Lewin have been recruited to work alongside Wain Land promotion managing director Angela Heaney.
Angela Heaney said: "The pace of work at Wain Estates Land Promotion has ramped up in the last six months and I am delighted to welcome three more key members to the team as we continue to deliver our portfolio and expand our reach."
