Turnover jumps by £10m at barristers' set home to 24 QCs

A barristers’ set with chambers in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds grew its turnover by £10m during its latest financial year.

Exchange Chambers has reported a turnover of £41m for the period, up 32% on the year before.

The figure is also higher than the £33m it posted for its 12 months before the pandemic.

Chief executive Jonathan I’Anson said: "The strong performance of the business is a credit to our outstanding barristers, clerks and staff.

"It has been an exceptional effort, particularly in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are seeing high quality instructions across all practice areas.

"Our expansion strategy is based on attracting the highest quality work and the highest quality barristers.
