A triathlon kit specialist has teamed up with a sportwear giant to design new official Derby County cyclewear.

HUUB, which is based in Full Street, Derby, has partnered with Umbro to design the kit, which will allow Rams fans to show their footballing allegiance while out on their bikes.

The kit includes a Derby County-branded short sleeve cycle jersey, bib shorts and jacket.

The idea for the bespoke kit was born after HUUB supplied custom cycling kit for 11 Derby County staff who joined 400 cycling enthusiasts in last year’s Football to Amsterdam - a 145-mile bike ride finishing at the Ajax stadium to raise money for Prostate Cancer º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Dean Jackson, a life-long Rams fan and owner of HUUB, said: “Cycling and football go hand-in-hand in this city – not least due to Pride Park’s proximity to the Derby Arena, which is one of only five velodromes in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

“The ‘Ramsterdam’ team received no end of compliments for their team kit last year and we thought it would be a great idea to give Derby County supporters, who are also keen cyclists, the chance to sport the new bespoke kit as well.

“So many more people have taken up road cycling during lockdown so there is a real appetite to wear scientifically designed kit that is both comfortable and fit-for-purpose on a long ride.

“This new kit enables new and experienced riders to also show their allegiance to the Rams and fly the flag from the saddle as they clock up the miles on their bikes.”
