North East training company Learning Curve Group has continued its expansion with the acquisition of a Merseyside company that specialises in vocational courses for a range of careers.
The deal for Antrec Limited will see Durham-based Learning Curve take over adult learning courses in areas that include construction, health and social care, and taxi driver preparation.
Learning Curve signalled new growth ambitions last year when it announced new private equity backing. The company later completed two acquisitions in London and the East Midlands.

All staff from Antrec will transfer to Learning Curve.
The acquisition follows deals last year for the Durham firm to take over the London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy and the London Beauty Training Academy, followed by Derbyshire firm Acorn Training.
