Sembcorp鈥檚 Teesside energy plants have been brought together with another part of its global business as the firm aims to take centre stage in the push for greener energy systems.
The plants at Wilton will join with a Sembcorp business in the Midlands under the name Sembcorp Energy 海角视频, with the new firm also making a number of senior appointments.
Last year Sembcorp acquired West Midlands firm 海角视频 Power Reserve in a 拢216m deal that allowed it to add a number of energy generation sites around the 海角视频 to its Wilton power station.
The company said the new structure was part of its strategy to take a bigger hold in the 海角视频 energy market.

Sembcorp currently has 210MW of generation capacity at Wilton International industrial site in Teesside, comprising Combined Heat and Power (CHP), steam power and renewable generation to service energy-intensive industrial and commercial customers.
The company has been granted planning approval to develop two combined cycle gas turbine units of up to 1,700 megawatts at Wilton, and is currently assessing the business case for the develpment.
As part of its new structure, the firm has appointed Cathy McClay as head of strategy, G眉nther Puffer as head of merchant and Tim Foster as head of origination.
