A young entrepreneur who started his tech business when he was still at school is investing in his company to win more clients.

Jaden Fyfe, 19, is the owner and founder of FyfeWeb, a website-hosting business in Whickham, Gateshead, which is responsible for keeping more than 300 websites online.

The company is now in its fifth year, having been launched by Mr Fyfe while he was still studying at school. Explaining how he got started, he said: “I was at Emmanuel College. I did a lot of network work for the school and that is how I got into it. I was doing work for the school and I would work on my own servers from school.

“In my lunch time I would work on my servers and there were about 60 to 70 websites I was looking after.”

“I started FyfeWeb from my parents’ garage in 2014 when I was 14 and this was when I got my first server.

"With this hardware, I started selling Web Hosting space and Virtual Servers to friends – all over a 50 Mbps upload internet connection.

“Surprisingly, this soon progressed into me expanding operations when I required more system resources as my customer base expanded.

"Over the past two years, I’ve rapidly developed FyfeWeb into a small yet successful business, with over 3Gbps of connectivity, and points of presence in multiple º£½ÇÊÓƵ-based data centres.
