The firm provides a broad range of solutions in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations to clients in more than 120 countries but is now focusing on its offices in the North, with new roles being driven by increased client demand for services in platforms, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, data and intelligent operations.
Simon Eaves, market unit lead for Accenture in the 海角视频 and Ireland, said: 鈥淭he 海角视频 economy is rebounding swiftly following the pandemic and we are seeing strong demand from clients seeking to capitalise on this growth opportunity.
鈥 We are committed to growing our footprint across the 海角视频 which is why I am particularly excited about our plans across Scotland and northern England where we see some of the best technology talent in the country.鈥
The move was welcomed by the firm鈥檚 海角视频 regional heads.
Allan King, Accenture鈥檚 head of North East operations, said: 鈥淣ewcastle has always been a key region for us when it comes to nurturing talent, particularly through our apprenticeship programme.
"We鈥檙e proud that our Newcastle operations are set to play an important role within Accenture鈥檚 ambitious growth plans across the North.
鈥淭he role of technology has skyrocketed, especially since the pandemic, and we鈥檙e excited to see how the next few years will unfold.鈥
Helen Morgan, who leads Accenture鈥檚 Yorkshire operations, added: 鈥淟eeds has become a real hub for leading technology firms outside London, particularly over the last couple of years. With our recent acquisition of Infinity Works, which has a strong existing base in Leeds, we鈥檝e already built up our talent in this area. We鈥檙e looking forward to growing our presence in the region with ambitious recruitment goals over the coming years.鈥
Meanwhile in Manchester, Vanessa Harding, Accenture鈥檚 North West operations co-lead, said: 鈥淲e are planting deep roots here. We鈥檙e proud of Accenture鈥檚 long-standing presence in Manchester, and this announcement underlines our commitment to growing in this fantastic city. The recruitment drive continues Accenture鈥檚 investment in the 海角视频 following six acquisitions made earlier this year.
