Supply chain financing company Greensill's managing director takes business school role

Daniel Shuttleworth has worked at Greensill since 2017 and used to attend Alliance Manchester Business School.

The managing director of a supply chain financing company has joined the advisory board of the Alliance Manchester Business School.

Daniel Shuttleworth, who used to attend the school, leads strategic initiatives within Greensill, a fintech providing working capital finance to businesses and individuals all over the world.

He was previously global head of portfolio integration with the firm which he joined in 2017 and employs more than 1,100 staff, including more than 350 in the North West.

The appointment comes after Greensill donated £2.5m to the University of Manchester in 2019 to drive the Fintech agenda in the region.

Mr Shuttleworth said: "I am very passionate about Manchester, the city region and the business school, and am really looking forward to taking up the role.

"I am really looking forward to further building on the exciting and emerging fintech industry in Manchester and the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, while also leveraging my international connections and experience to help AMBS maintain momentum at the forefront of the fintech revolution. I can’t wait to get stuck in."
