The co-founder of a firm which producers and distributes "superfood blends" is hoping to open up her products to the US market.

Super U was launched by Nottingham Trent University students Charlotte Bailey and Sean Ali with the aim of helping people live healthier lives.

The company takes various superfood ingredients to create blends and powders that can be used in drinks and food.

Miss Bailey, who studied law at NTU, said: "The brand is all about making people healthier, looking after themselves and getting nutrients from nature's best sources.

"We are making these sorts of products easy for people to use and understand. With our blends, they all have their own function and it is clear what to use them with."

They predominantly sell online through the company's website but also works alongside retailers including Selfridges, Whole Foods Market and As Nature Intended.
