Plymouth gets hip with its first breakfast cereal café

Couple who already run waffle bar are expanding after being bowled over by London's Cereal Killer Café

The opening of Plymouth's Kawaffle

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, your mum used to say, and now Plymouth is to get a diner dedicated to cereal and inspired by London's famous Cereal Killer Café.

Sofie and Kieran Taylor, who launched in April 2019, are now expanding into providing all-day breakfasts in a bowl.

The couple have taken over premises next to their Kawaffle stall in Plymouth City Market and will import cereals from around the world, as well as offering "simple" breakfasts such as toast and crumpets.

Mrs Taylor said the inspiration for the enterprise came from visiting breakfast bars in other cities, such as the popular Cereal Killer Cafe, which has five locations across the world and was the first cereal-themed café in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

"We would like to follow that business but offer other options, so people can come along and have something simple such as cereal, toast and crumpets," she said.

The cereal bar will have dairy milk and also  vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
