Aspiring young entrepreneurs in Hull can now apply for business support grants to test the market.
The John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank and the city council鈥檚 micro business team are managing the process, backed by the 海角视频 Shared Prosperity Fund, with between 拢350 and 拢500 available.
Applicants must be aged up to 29 and in their first year of trading - or could just be harbouring a business idea ready to put into motion.

Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, Hull City Council鈥檚 portfolio holder for economic and business regeneration, said: 鈥淭he council wants to see young entrepreneurs in Hull thrive in business. It鈥檚 brilliant that the council can support them through the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank.鈥
The grants will be available until March 2025, with the deadline for this round of applications set for Tuesday, September 12. A panel will assess them later in the month. Further rounds of funding - part of the Levelling Up partnership - will be available in October and November.
Successful candidates will also be encouraged to mentor future young entrepreneurs in Hull and to work in promoting enterprise in schools and colleges.
