A family-run photography business has opened a new studio in West Bridgford, Nottingham, with backing from HSBC.
Magpie Portraits owners Simon and Wendy Mackney, together with photographer Charlotte Eley, have expanded out of Derby into the neighbouring city. A new 1,096 sq ft boutique studio called BlossomPop will specialise in luxury family, maternity, baby and newborn portraits.
The five-figure funding package from HSBC was used to fit-out the property with a partition wall, furniture and equipment including cameras, lighting, computers, screens and props and backdrops.
The loan also supported the business in developing a website and marketing strategy to bring in new bookings.
The pair鈥檚 original site, called Mackney Photography, is in central Derby and the Nottingham location is the next step in the business owners鈥 growth plans, with further sites set to be added to their portfolio in the coming years.
Wendy Mackney said: 鈥淲e are so pleased to officially open BlossomPop.
鈥淲e fell in love with this part of Nottingham, and we are so excited to welcome in new customers from the local area.
鈥淗SBC 海角视频鈥檚 support over the past decade has been immense, and the new funding has allowed us to fit-out the site to the highest standard.鈥
Matthew Cooper, regional manager for business banking direct at HSBC 海角视频, said: 鈥淢ackney Photography has been with us since its first site in 2011, and since then we鈥檝e seen the company go from strength to strength. Looking ahead, we鈥檒l be continuing our support as this ambitious business continues to grow with new sites across the East Midlands region.鈥
Trading as BlossomPop photography, the husband and wife pair opened their first site in Derby in 2011 and in 2014, launched a pop-up studio in Derby鈥檚 main retail complex, Derbion.
