Catering solutions provider Totally Delicious has enjoyed a positive start to the new year after landing a new £5 million deal.

The contract will see the company take on three new sites in the North East – resulting in a 17 per cent increase in its workforce overnight.

The latest deal for the Stone-based business involves a seven-year contract with Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums service, which will see it run all event catering and cafes at the Discovery Museum, the Laing Art Gallery and Great North Museum, all in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Managing director Dominic Bowers said: "We are excited to be taking the Totally Delicious brand into new areas.

"Our company is continuing to look forward, thanks to our successful recipe – great food, great people, inspiring venues, and a big dollop of passion."

The deal means Totally Delicious now boasts a growing portfolio of 16 sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Locally, it runs a number of successful sites, including its flagship restaurant at Trentham Gardens, cafes at visitor attractions including Middleport Pottery, and staff canteens at some of the area’s biggest employers such as KMF, Portmeirion, Autonet and Steelite International.
