A Staffordshire dealership has been named ‘Retailer of the Year’ by car-giant Auto Trader.

Angus MacKinnon, based in Uttoxeter, scooped the most prestigious award of the night at the Auto Trader Retailer Awards 2019 earlier this month.

The awards celebrate the best businesses in the industry across seven different categories.

Stuart MacKinnon, managing director of Angus MacKinnon, said: “To win the award for Retailer of the Year is a great honour.

“To be recognised as the best of the best in the automotive industry by such an authority plus real-world data is a great achievement for our local, family-owned business.

“Our focus always remains on customer satisfaction and buying a vehicle can be stressful, we attempt to overcome this by offering a relaxed and professional experience.

“We’ve won various awards in the past but never one carrying this prestigious national recognition.

He added: “Angus MacKinnon has gone from being a small, single bay rented workshop set up in 1975 next to a petrol station, to being named the best in the business by Auto Trader in 2019.
