A specialist aviation services provider has increased its freight and passenger carrying capacity by adding to its fleet based at East Midlands Airport.

RVL Group has invested in a Beechcraft King Air B200, bringing the total number of such aircraft in its fleet to four.

The latest addition brings more versatility to the company’s roster thanks to its eight-seat ‘commuter’ configuration.

According to RVL, it is the only eight-seater King Air available for charter in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ as most have a maximum capacity of seven.

The new aircraft is expected to be used for corporate travel, medical teams, engineering crews and other personnel movements. But it can also be quickly reconfigured to move loose-load freight.

RVL operates and maintains its own fleet of 16 aircraft, providing a range of services for private and public sector clients.

This includes aerial surveillance and survey, passenger and cargo ad-hoc and long-term charter, temporary and permanent aircraft modifications for project work and aerial spraying of pollution dispersants.

Richard Baker, head of flight operations at RVL, said: “The additional aircraft is now fully operational and available immediately for commercial transport flights.
