Southern Comfort has agreed to back this year’s North Wales Blues & Soul Festival – a major coup for the event.
The global drinks brand supports a series of prestigious music events in North America, including the BB King Blues Festival in Florida and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
Organisers of The North Wales Blues & Soul Festival, which is taking place outdoors at Theatr Clwyd over the weekend of August 2-4, raised a glass of the sponsors’ finest to mark the agreement.
Promoter Charlie Broadhurst of Event Sound Ltd said: “We are so pleased to have Southern Comfort on board and everyone involved in the festival feels it’s a mark of how far we have come that we can now attract a brand of this calibre.”
Southern Comfort will have a bar at the event and will be serving popular cocktails based on the whiskey liqueur that is flavoured with fruit and spices.
The presence of the drinks brand is not the only element of the festival that will have a Southern USA feel.
The headliners include one of America’s best loved blues bands, Delta Moon, who herald from Atlanta, Georgia and play swamp blues.
Established in 2014 by Event Sound Ltd and a committee of Mold volunteers, the North Wales Blues & South Festival is supported by a number of local and national businesses including restaurant group Living Ventures.
