A visual effects studio in Bristol has been selected for a Government trade mission to the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival and business conference in Austin, Texas.
Clifton-based Moonraker VFX has created graphics for television programmes including the BBC鈥檚 landmark natural history Planet Earth II, as well as displays at visitor attractions around the world.
The studio counts global production companies, such as Netflix, National Geographic, and Disney, and corporations such as tech giant Apple and vacuum cleaner brand Dyson among its clients.
The business has now been selected from thousands of applicants by the Department of International Trade for a national cohort of 19 companies, providing an opportunity for it to showcase the growth and innovation of Bristol鈥檚 creative industry to the US market.
SXSW is a globally renowned creative industries event, which sees parallel music, film and interactive media festivals and conferences take place across Austin for 10 days every March. Previous 海角视频 trade missions to SXSW have brought in 拢11m and 拢15m worth of business.
Moonraker VFX said its participation in this year鈥檚 trip will come at a time of 鈥渞apid growth鈥 for the business, with it recently investing in the production and creation of its own licensable content for immersive, screen-based experiences.
The studio added that its appearance at the conference would provide it with a 鈥渘ew level鈥 of brand exposure in the US, which could help to fuel its next stage of growth.
Simon Clarke, co-founder and creative director at Moonraker VFX, said鈥: Our invitation to attend SXSW is an incredibly exciting milestone for Mooonraker.
