East Yorkshire poultry firm Soanes has secured a prestigious new contract with a leading Yorkshire hotel and pub chain.
Soanes Poultry, based in Middleton-on-the-Wolds, is a fourth-generation family business which has been supplying chickens and other birds for over 70 years.
The firm has now won new business with the Provenance Inns and Hotel chain, and will deliver chickens to the group’s seven Yorkshire sites.

It comes as a coup for Soanes, which has its products in stockists across East Yorkshire and beyond.
Richard Cross, sales manager at Soanes Poultry, said: "As the name suggests, Provenance Inns and Hotels prides itself on serving customers distinctive, seasonal and local produce and, as a 72 year old family farming business and Yorkshire's leading chicken producer, there is a great fit.
"We're looking forward to tasting all of the recipes that head chef Jason Wardill and his team of 50 have created for the sites."
Provenance Inns and Hotels has seven branches across Yorkshire, including in Harrogate, Welburn and Felixkirk in North Yorkshire.
Soanes will supply a range of its Great Taste award-winning whole and portioned chicken which will go into dishes including Chicken and Yorkshire Chorizo Terrine; Roast Chicken Breast with Bombay mix, Saag Aloo, Spiced Mango and Cauliflower and a modern twist on a Chicken Kiev.

Provenance Inns and Hotels’ seven sites are The Black Bull, Moulton; The Carpenters Arms, Felixkirk; The Cleveland Tontine, Staddlebridge; The Crown and Cushion, Welburn; The Oak Tree, Helperby; The Punch Bowl, Marton-cum-Grafton and The West Park Hotel, Harrogate.
Soanes Poultry employs over 100 people and has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947.
