A North Staffordshire recruitment company is ready to get people back into work after undergoing a full rebrand.
SMarter Recruitment Services Ltd has launched under a new name and from new offices in Queens Parade, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Now the company's seven-strong team is looking for job-seekers to fill a range of vacancies at some of Staffordshire’s biggest employers.
Recruitment consultant Paul Smith said: “It’s quite an exciting time for us. We’ve hit the reset button and now we want to get the SMarter Recruitment name out there.
“It’s been a slow and certain transition but we are ready for a fresh start with a new team, a new dynamism and new, innovative ideas.”
Led by directors Mark and Sarah Heath, the SMarter Recruitment team has a more than 60 years’ combined experience in recruitment.
The company helps to fill a variety of roles – including temporary, permanent and fixed-term contracts – across a host of sectors such as road and rail, industrial, IT and commercial.
It also has a care division – called SMarter Care – which specifically works to fill roles in the care sector, such as support workers, care assistants and management.

As well as traditional recruitment services, SMarter Recruitment offers Covid-friendly training, CV support and online interview preparation for its candidates.
Paul said: “Our new brand will allow us to confidently approach some huge clients and have the bravery to take on the big boys in a saturated market.
“Our bread and butter is always going to be Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire, but there’s nothing to stop us from reaching out and covering the West Midlands and further afield.”

Paul added: “The pandemic has made things a million times worse in terms of people having to potentially change what they would normally do for work, so people who might have worked in the entertainment industry, for example, are asking themselves ‘what can I do now?’
“Some people are in a bit of a rut and that can spiral into things like mental health problems, so we want to be a beacon of hope for people and help them to get back into work. There’s a job out there for everyone.”
As well as looking to fill roles – such as warehouse staff, lithographers, skilled pottery workers and customer service assistants – for its clients, SMarter Recruitment is looking to grow its own team with the recruitment of new consultants and a sales manager.
