The team at Nottingham PR agency Tank are offering their services free of charge to a community farm in the city.

The agency, based in The Lace Market, is offering regular marketing support to the Stonebridge City Farm.

Each quarter, the agency will provide the farm, which is located in Stone Bridge Road in St Ann's, with its PR, digital, social media and general consultancy services on a pro bono basis.

The free-to-enter visitor attraction has more than 160 volunteers on site each week, many with a mental health challenge, learning disability or who feel excluded from society.

A Tank spokeswoman said: “Donations, grant income and support from local organisations are vital to the operation of the farm which offers volunteers work-based training in animal care, horticulture, food and hygiene, and customer service.”

To launch the new partnership, staff at Tank swapped their keyboards for spades and paintbrushes, and gave their time to volunteer at the farm.

Three teams clocked up more than 130 hours through efforts including painting fences and picnic benches, weeding around footpaths and paddocks, preparing fields for animals and digging new planting areas.

Heather Slater, fundraising and marketing manager at Stonebridge, said: “We really are so grateful for the support and expertise we’ll receive from Tank, and for the time the team has already given us.
