Company introduces three-day week but pays employees for five

The incentive is aimed at motivating staff

Company launches three-day week

The idea of introducing a four-day week in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ has been a hot topic this year.

It was on the Labour agenda at the party's recent conference in Brighton, while the TUC is currently calling for the change.

But one business in Bristol has gone a step further and is now offering its staff the chance to only work three days a week - albeit with a catch.

Recruitment firm Paratus People has launched a flexible working scheme that gives staff the chance to work only three days out of five and still be paid their full wage if they hit their targets.

If a member of staff can secure six deals in a month they are then given every Thursday and Friday off the next month. And they will be offered the reward for every month they hit their target.

The scheme is open to everyone, regardless of how long they have worked in the business, and from junior to management level.

Managing director Tom White says he was "intrigued" by the idea of flexible working.

He said: "After doing a bit of research, I realised that nobody in Bristol was doing anything like our scheme and I was quite surprised.
