A cash collection and delivery company is opening a centre in Bristol, creating 15 jobs.

Pivotal (formerly RMS Group) is opening the site as part of its nationwide expansion strategy, it said.

The Bristol centre will support Pivotal鈥檚 growing customer base in the South West and Wales, according to the company, and will be one of four new locations with the others in the South East, Leeds and Scotland.

Tony McAleenan, the company鈥檚 managing director, said: 鈥淲hile the current situation is challenging for everyone, as an agile business without the burden of a large infrastructure and cost base, we are in a strong position and are pressing ahead with our growth plans.

鈥淟ooking to the future, Pivotal will play a key role in helping businesses to manage the increasingly wide range of payment options while continuing to support access to cash.

"[This] is vital to ensure we can deal with a wide range of payment methods, and ensure customer choice and financial inclusion within communities across the country.鈥

RSM Group, which was founded in 2005 and rebranded to Pivotal this year, is headquarters in Slough.

The company provides cash collections, deliveries and ATM services for more than 1,700 organisations ranging from Metro Bank and Travelex to retailers and small businesses.

Martin Smith, head of commercial strategy, added: 鈥淲e appreciate this is a very difficult time for many of our customers and we are doing all we can to support them, for example by offering one-off collections from premises which have closed.

鈥淭hese latest changes will allow us to play a more central role in supporting our clients in the future. Pivotal will make it cheaper and easier for businesses to accept both card and cash payments."

The company said it plans to extend its services to include on-demand collections and deliveries, and also provide card terminals and process card and BACS payments.
