Companies from across the North West have secured more than £100m in recent weeks to help fund their continued expansion.
The business range from a cloud data firm which works with the likes of Tui, Travis Perkins and Cisco, a start-up set to double its headcount and Liverpool’s ethical answer to investment platform Robinhood.
They have secured the extra funds from a variety of backers, both in the 海角视频 and the US.

Matillion
Greater Manchester cloud company Matillion raised $100m through a funding round led by a US venture capital firm.
The Altrincham-headquartered business also has offices in New York, Denver and Seattle and has worked with the likes of Tui, Travis Perkins, Cisco and Ad Astra.
It secured the financial boost from Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Battery Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners with financing from Silicon Valley Bank 海角视频 Branch.

Orka
Manchester-based tech start-up Orka Technology Group secured £29m in its latest funding round.
The firm, which provides tech solutions for shift workers, said it will now double its headcount to 50 by the end of this year and invest further in its portfolio.
The firm's best-known product, Orka Works, allows workers to find temporary employment with large organisations in industries such as security, cleaning and logistics.
Chief executive and co-founder Tom Pickersgill said: "What we’re doing is unique in this sector, and thanks to this funding, we’ll be able to reach many more businesses and their employees in the coming year – and improve the service that we can offer them."
Peak

A total of 130 jobs are set to be created after Manchester-based artificial intelligence company Peak, which works with the likes of PrettyLittleThing, KFC and PepsiCo, raised an extra $21m.
The business completed the Series B funding round led by London-based venture capital firm Oxx, with participation from MMC Ventures and Praetura Ventures and new investor Arete.
The move brings Peak’s total funding raised to date to $43m.
The latest funding will fuel the company's global expansion with new offices opening in both the US and India, as well as continued research and development investment in Peak’s Decision Intelligence software.
Richard Potter, co-founder and chief executive, said: "We’re delighted to have secured this new funding in an oversubscribed round.
"The financing and Oxx's support will further catalyse our growth and expansion plans, and will help us empower many more businesses worldwide with Decision Intelligence over the coming years."
Mindtrace
Manchester-based AI software provider Mindtrace secured a $3m investment led by two venture capital firms in London and a listed asset manager.
The company will use the funding from Skylake Capital, Bloc Ventures and existing investor Mercia Asset Management to accelerate its product roadmap and bolster go-to market capabilities, including strategic partnerships.
As a result of the investment Marcos Battisti, general partner at Skylake Capital, and Michael Dimelow, chief commercial officer at Bloc Ventures, have joined the company's board of directors.
Ashwin Kumaraswamy, investment director at Mercia, said: "As Mindtrace’s seed investor we are delighted to take part in this latest round welcoming two new partners to the syndicate, both of whom have significant value to add."
Tickr
Liverpool-based app Tickr, which encourages investors to back companies that have a positive impact on the planet, secured a £2.5m boost from a venture capital fund.
The business received the support from Ada Ventures in London after previously also raising £2.5m through another funding round.
The app, which was founded by Tom McGillycuddy and Matt Latham, only offers investments in companies that generate social and environmental benefits.
McGillycuddy said: "We believe that within the next five to 10 years 'impact investing' will just be called 'investing'.
"It’s the only way our generation wants to invest, and because of that they’re driving industry-wide structural change."
Just Us
Cheshire-based lender JustUs secured more than £1.3m through investors on Crowdcube to help fund its continued growth.
The Alderley Edge company received the backing of in excess of 450 investors on the site.
The firm was established through Crowdcube in 2014, raising an initial £450,000 through 100 investors.
The business is led by chief executive Lee Birkett who used to head up the AIM-listed financial services business, Prestbury.com.
海角视频 Adviser
The 海角视频 Adviser, a Manchester-based digital franchise network, has secured £300,000 in its latest funding round, including a co-investment from GC Angels.
Founded in 2018, The 海角视频 Adviser’s ‘business in a box’ style framework allows individuals to set up and run their own mortgage franchise business.
The company said funding provided by early-stage investor GC Angels and the network of industry expert private investors will support it with continued development of its AdviserTech platform.
