Sinclair Group to open new Land Rover dealership in Swansea

The new outlet follows Sinclair Group's acquisition of Shukers from the Rubery Owen Group earlier this year

Wales' largest privately-owned motor groups is opening a new retail outlet in Swansea. Sinclair Jaguar Land Rover has announced that work has already begun on a new showroom and servicing workshop at Swansea Vale Business Park in Llansamlet.

The new site will replace its existing outlet on Valley Way at Swansea Enterprise Park and will be be built to the manufacturer's latest Arch Concept design. Design and build firm Jones Brothers have been contracted to develop the outlet which will include a thermally-efficient shell and solar panels.

The new showroom will house 12 models and include a reception area with barista service. There will also be a personalisation suite and two handover areas.

Aside from the showroom, the outlet will also offer aftersales facilities for servicing, maintenance and repairs with 18 workshop bays including two for MOTs. The new Swansea site will be the first in the Sinclair Group to feature a drive-in service reception.

Outside will have an Approved Used vehicle display for up to 90 cars. There will be 380 parking spaces available with 24 equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

The new outlet follows Sinclair Group's acquisition of Shukers from the Rubery Owen Group earlier this year. The deals saw the car retail group, based in Pencoed, expand its presence across the border and add two Land Rover dealerships and its first Hyundai franchise to its portfolio.

The south Wales retailer has now expanded its Welsh territory to mid-Wales with the takeover of Shukers' Land Rover and Hyundai dealership in Aberystwyth, and into England for the first time with the ownership of the Land Rover franchise in Ludlow.
