A finance company which has doubled in size over the last 12 months has revealed exciting plans for the future - including creating new jobs and expanding into new locations.

Signature Financial Services, which is based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has taken on four new mortgage brokers and two client managers since July last year – with another broker starting next month.

The new recruits take the team to 13, but the workforce looks set to grow again as the company plans to recruit another two mortgage brokers, a client manager as well as an operations manager in the coming weeks.

Managing director Dean Birks, who took full ownership of the business in 2018, said: "Like everyone when we went into the first lockdown last March, we of course had concerns about the market and the business.

"Lenders retracted a lot of their deals and there was a much tougher lending criteria so to take the right people on during such a time of uncertainty was of course a risk, which I felt very nervous about, but it's a risk that's really paid off.

"I can honestly say as a team we are the busiest I can ever remember us being and without the team members we’ve brought in, I honestly don’t think we would have managed the workload.

"There's been a surge in demand for our services for a number of reasons – lending criteria has loosened, the stamp duty holiday is coming to an end and the market is more buoyant, so we’ve seen a huge surge in demand for both our bespoke advice and our products."

Founded in 2009, Signature Financial Services specialises in all forms of property finance; including residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, buy to let finance, bridging finance, portfolio borrowing, limited company lending – anything property related that may require a financial package.
